Remote Front end Manager

 We are looking for an experienced and driven Frontend Manager with expertise in Next.js to lead our frontend team. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and deployment of web applications while managing a talented group of frontend developers. You’ll work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-performing, user-focused web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Frontend Team: Guide, mentor, and support the frontend team, ensuring timely achievement of project milestones.
• Architect Next.js Applications: Design scalable, maintainable Next.js applications, focusing on performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Partner closely with product, design, and backend teams to align frontend efforts with business objectives.
• Maintain Code Quality: Define coding standards, conduct code reviews, and implement best practices for a high-quality codebase.
• Optimize Performance: Enhance applications for speed, accessibility, and SEO by leveraging Next.js features and other modern tech.
• Stay Updated on Frontend Trends: Remain current with advancements in frontend development, including Next.js updates, and advocate for beneficial technologies.
• Plan and Manage Projects: Assist with team planning, setting timelines, and tracking project progress.
• Team Building and Hiring: Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training to develop a cohesive frontend team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role and 3+ years with Next.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, Next.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with modern tools like TypeScript, Redux, Webpack, and Babel.
• Understanding of backend concepts, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and server-side rendering.
• Strong grasp of responsive and adaptive design for various devices and screen sizes.
• Proven ability to lead frontend teams with strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Agile practices, project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello), and multitasking across projects.
• Knowledge of SEO, web performance, and accessibility standards.
• Proficiency with Git for version control and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud, with experience deploying Next.js applications.
• Strong sense of UI/UX principles and experience collaborating with design teams.
• Open source contributions or maintenance is a plus.
