Full Stack Developer

We are excited to partner with a forward-thinking e-commerce client to find an experienced Fullstack Developer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with a talented group of developers to design and build high-performing, scalable applications for the Shopify ecosystem. These apps, which are embedded within the Shopify admin and storefronts, play a crucial role in enhancing the e-commerce experience for customers.

About the Role

As a Fullstack Developer, you will work across the entire development lifecycle, contributing to both the frontend and backend of Shopify apps. Using technologies like React, Node.js, and TypeScript, you will design and implement new features, enhance existing functionality, and ensure the apps meet the highest standards of scalability and performance.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll work closely with your team to make key design and planning decisions, leveraging agile processes to stay adaptable. Staying up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies in the Shopify ecosystem is essential, as you’ll identify ways to integrate these advancements into the apps. Your work will be data-driven, using insights to measure success and guide future development.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Contribute to all stages of app development, utilizing React, TypeScript, Elixir, and Node.js (prior experience with Elixir is not required).
• Collaborate with the team to design and plan projects using a flexible agile process.
• Integrate cutting-edge tools and technologies from the Shopify ecosystem to enhance app functionality.
• Continuously improve development practices through feedback and innovation.
• Use data-driven approaches to measure outcomes and plan for future iterations.
• Mentor fellow developers, fostering skill growth and collaboration across the team.

Required Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in frontend and backend technologies, especially JavaScript and React.

Bonus Skills

While not required, the following experiences will set you apart:

• Familiarity with the Shopify platform, including the Liquid templating language.
• Experience with design systems like Shopify Polaris and accessibility best practices.
• Background in developing for e-commerce platforms like WordPress or BigCommerce.
• Proficiency with TypeScript or other frontend libraries like Vue, Next.js, or Angular.
• Interest in functional programming and a willingness to learn Elixir.
